Signs of Failure
Vehicle sagging – one or more corners sit low due to insufficient air pressure
Suspension fault warning – dashboard alert illuminated
Compressor running constantly – system unable to maintain pressure due to leaks or worn seals
No compressor activation – complete failure to raise the vehicle
💡 L322 compressors typically fail from worn piston seals or a seized drive mechanism after years of cycling. Before fitting a replacement, pressure-test the air springs and lines — a leak elsewhere will cause the new compressor to overwork and fail prematurely.
Critical – Verify Your VIN Before Ordering
Air suspension compressors are VIN- and system-type-specific. Provide your VIN – our team confirms exact compatibility before dispatch. We cannot accept returns for misordered parts without VIN verification.
💡 Installation Tip: Professional installation recommended. Renew the compressor relay (YWB500220) when replacing the compressor — a worn relay is a common cause of repeat compressor failure. After installation, the suspension system may require calibration using diagnostic equipment.
